Instytut Inżynierii Chemicznej Polskiej Akademii Nauk in Gliwice is a renowned scientific research institution specializing in interdisciplinary studies in the fields of chemical, process, materials, and environmental engineering. We have been operating continuously since 1968, pursuing the mission of developing and implementing modern technological solutions that address the challenges of the contemporary world.
Our strength lies in a team of experienced scientists, engineers, and specialists who combine fundamental knowledge with industrial practice. We conduct theoretical and experimental research, develop process models, design innovative technological systems, and support the transfer of knowledge to industry.
The Institute is equipped with modern laboratory infrastructure and facilities for laboratory, semi-technical, and pilot-scale research. We carry out projects financed by national and international institutions, including the National Science Centre, the National Centre for Research and Development, and the European Commission. We are active participants in international research consortia and scientific cooperation networks.
Our work contributes to the development of advanced chemical technologies, environmental protection, sustainable development, and efficient resource utilization. We support the education of young scientists through the PAS Doctoral School and collaborate with universities, research institutes, and industry.
